About this policy

This policy explains how Momentum Apps handles information when you use the ScoreShare app and its website. ScoreShare lets you create, score, and follow games without creating a user account.

Scoreboards and public sharing

We store the information you enter into a scoreboard, including team names, sport, game format, scores, period or set history, timestamps, and any location or court details you choose to provide. Firebase powers storage and live updates.

Scoreboards are shared content. Other people may view game details through shared links and the app’s discovery features. A shared link is not a password. Avoid entering private information about players or spectators.

Location and information on your device

If you grant location permission, ScoreShare can use your location to find nearby games or add a location to a game you create. Coordinates or location details attached to a game are stored with that game and may be visible to other users. You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.

The app also stores preferences, watched-game IDs, active-game information, and service identifiers on your device. Service identifiers can be used to manage app behavior and limit excessive game creation.

Advertising, website analytics, and service providers

The current app uses Firebase for game data and app configuration. Older versions may include Google AdMob advertising. These services may process device or installation identifiers, IP addresses, app interactions, and diagnostic information under their own policies. Advertising may use device advertising identifiers, subject to your device settings and applicable permissions.

The website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and usage. Analytics may use cookies and process device, browser, and interaction information. Our hosting provider also processes connection information needed to serve the website.

Free to use

The current version of ScoreShare is free, with no advertising, in-app purchases, or subscriptions.

Support and use of information

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond to support requests, bug reports, and sport suggestions. You can reach us through the email link on our Contact Us page.

We use information to operate and improve ScoreShare, synchronize scores, show shared games, respond to support requests, and protect the service from misuse. Information may be processed by service providers, shared at your direction, or disclosed when necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect rights.

Retention, security, and your choices

Game information is retained while available through the service and may be removed during cleanup. ScoreShare is not a permanent archive. Support correspondence and service-provider records may be retained as needed for their purposes and applicable obligations.

No internet service can guarantee complete security. You can limit what you put in public scoreboards, control location permissions, and manage device privacy settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information. Contact us with the relevant game link or other details so we can identify your request.

Children’s privacy

ScoreShare is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact us.

Request deletion of ScoreShare data

Email support@momentumapps.org with the subject “ScoreShare Data Deletion.” Include the game link for each scoreboard you want removed, and enough information for us to verify that it is yours. Do not include passwords or payment card details.

After verifying your request, we can remove the relevant scoreboard names, scores, game history, and location from our game database. Records needed to meet legal obligations may be retained.
